there are articles all over about the Twilight fanfic writer who hit it big.

I considered buying this book after hearing about the author's fanfic past. I checked out the "look inside" option at Amazon on the first book in the trilogy (Fifty Shades of Grey) and found the writing pretty awful. There are so many truly talented fanfic writers out there. It's a shame that most non-fannish readers are going to consider this book an example of the best fanfic has to offer. It isn't.

I think Stieg Larson (the guy from the millenium trilogy) also started out as a fanfic writer, but I think he died before he really could enjoy his succes.

I know you're busy getting wedded, but remember to do some writing. Have you thought about a memoir? You've got some really incredible material, and you'd write it with humor and style. Just saying.

That's sweet of you. I've thought of a few different ideas. A memoir is one of them, maybe one about raising two crazy liberal kids. Maybe when things get settled down... (you know the old excuses... "Maybe when... maybe later...")
