Sirius thrust an apple in James' face. Somehow he had charmed it so that it glowed a violent red. "Come on. It'll be perfect."

Remus sighed heavily and shook his head. He didn't know what Sirius was on about, but was fairly clear that if it was Sirius's plan it was assuredly not perfect. And if in any way it was perfect, he'd eat his copy of A Christmas Carol.

"Sirius. My friend. My dear friend." James put an arm around Sirius's shoulder.

Why does Sirius get an apostrophe and an extra s and James doesn't?

And I hope I won't comment on every sentence and actually get to finish reading this fic.

Technically words that are one syllable don't need the extra apostrophe. But I thought I had changed it to make it consistent throughout. Oh well, I use the extra s on all of their names now.
