Haha, well when they sell Italian pasta sauce and stuff in English speaking countries they usually use very thick Italian accents, so I guess it's the same idea.
Maybe he's taken solace in the fact that no matter what anyone says about his general cooking, they can't deny that he makes splendid biscuits.
