Chicken Success and A Cleaning Question

Hello all! I found you because of the Spotlight. I've had my crock pot for about 5 years and have been using it more and more, especially this year when money is tight.

I've used soap & water to clean the outside of my pot before. Just be sure the cord and the place where it goes into the pot stays WAY away from the water. I've had good luck with a mild-scrubby sponge dipped in water, while the pot itself is on the counter on top of a dish towel, so it doesn't drip everywhere.

you might want to try damp baking soda and a scrub brush. When you're done, wipe it with a damp sponge.

I s'pose you could clean it with dry steel wool, maybe. One of those stainless steel scrubbies they sell.

I would recommend a nylon disk, like this one (I have these, and I love them immensely).

I didn't use any salt or seasonings, just the onions and the marsala wine. I was going to put some herbs in there, but I wound up being in a rush, so I just said, "Oh, well, I hope this works!" and turned it on.

It was on low.
