That sounds yummy! If you have cheesecloth, putting the spices in that keeps you from having to fish them out later, too. (Assuming you're using whole, not powdered, spices.)
du'oh.. i totally meant to mention that... sorry, cold meds ate my brain... mom used powdered, but i prefer whole in the cheesecloth bag (or the tea ball!)
True that :) One year I made this with Pete's Wicked Mardi Gras Ale (which they only put out once) -- it was something between a stout and a porter, but with candied ginger and spices. *faints*
probably not.. i am working at the orchid show that weekend. and truth be told i dont do well outdoors for any length of time in this season... i am trying to stop by to see people though.

I have been playing with mulling spice mixes (gifts one x-mas) and have begun adding a few new spices to my mix (in addition to what you use): 1/2 to one star anise, a cardamom pod or 3, and some coriander (whole)
