Vegetarian slow cooker recipes

Jan 09, 2007 09:07

I was wondering if anyone had any great veggie main meal recipes for the slow cooker - other than chili, please!

I bought a HUGE block of tofu at the grocery store the other day and I am not even sure it can be slow cooked as it will likely fall apart, but am willing to try. I am open to tasty bean dishes as well.

Suggestions?

vegetarian, tofu

Thanks for the recommendation - timecankill told me about it too!

As luck would have it, it's $15 CDN at my local Chapters, and what do you know? I have got a $15 gift card for Hannu-mas....so it looks like I'll be picking that up ASAP.

If you freeze tofu, defrost it, squeeze the water out and crumble it, it acts a lot like ground beef. Generally, I will freeze it, defrost is, squeeze the water out and crumble it, and then marinate it in something. I'd do that before adding it to a recipe.
