All right, well, he has finally arrived! After 11 weeks or so of reviews, we've finally made it to the main protagonist of the story. Tomoya is probably my favorite male lead in all of anime, and the only one that's really close is Kyon from Haruhi. As you mentioned, Tomoya's character development in Clannad is exceptional, and good character development is necessary in any good story, so props to Key and KyoAni for doing a good job in showing Tomoya's character changing for the better. I really like that 'jerk with a heart of gold' trope, it fits Tomoya perfectly.

Anyway, take your time for next week's review. If you're unable to find time to do it then just take two weeks; better late than never, and we wouldn't want to end this off with a rushed review, would we? ;)

I almost made a mention that TV Tropes compares Tomoya to Kyon, but decided not to. I've never been big on comparing the characters to characters outside of the series up to this point so why start now XD. And there is a trope for every character; I love that site to death. Hence having a section basically dedicated to it XD.

And admittedly, it's no so much I don't have the time as "I have to overcome my natural procrastination" to get it done XD. Although I do need to watch the episodes involving Ushio and all that since it'll be the focus (the Nagisa review really hit the highlights for Tomoya in the early parts of After Story so...).

Yes, feel special XD. And admittedly, that's exactly how I kind of feel on how Tomoya behaves toward his dad. He keeps claiming he wants his dad to treat him better, but when his dad actually tries he just yells at him and storms up. ^_^
