How does your Catholic family handle you being gay?

My mom is the only one who's really into Catholicism. When she found out I am gay she consulted with the local priest here in NYC. He told her that there was nothing she could do but to love me as I am.

That wasn't the answer she wanted to hear, but after a few months she was better at it and till this day, she treats me like my other siblings, except that we don't talk about men.

I think it is a matter of uncomfortness from both sides. But that's something she wouldn't talk to my sister about either. My mom is very old fashion.
