In my short stint as a human being living in the Western hemisphere of Planet Earth, in a country called the United States of America, I feel I've noticed a couple things regarding the idea of religion, but more on a higher power, often called God, or a god

We should take full credit and responsibility for our actions, but that doesn't mean God can't exist. We can do everything on earth that God does, but you're leaving out the afterlife. We have no sense of an afterlife other than through God. So if you could somehow prove there is no afterlife, then God would cease to exist.

I don't intend on getting anyone to automatically convert, I just want to get people thinking and make sure they're not blindly accepting things without first considering them.

to consider the truthfulness of any religion (or lack thereof) is essentially the same as debasing all the others, at least the ones that don't like to coexist with other religions. as a result, any discussion on religion seems to just make people think someone is trying to convert them, and then they get pissy. at least that's how every discussion of religion that i've seen on the internet has ever gone
