i find it odd that EVERYONE on the manufacturing, advertising and providing side of the cell phone industry calls it a "mobile phone" but everyone on the consuming side calls it a "cell phone". You think one of the sides would have conformed.

room spinning...

my take on it: mobile phone, while a more correct term, is not the easiest to say. Cell phone seems to roll off the tongue better, plus, hey, way back in the history of cell phones, maybe they were truly "cellular"..?

sidenote: in Britan, they actually do call them Mobiles. (Mo-Bile). Here in France, of course, it's a portable (but I think it's advertised as a telephone mobile..? or maybe that's just in my head..) Go figure.

What's even more confusing is that in France we also use "portable" for laptop computers.

Ah, I thought that maybe you weren't listening to anything but instead looking for some kind of schedule and fairs to get to Manitoba. And I was all like um, Weakerthans?

Well if you find a job around Lille (North of my country) I will be pleased to be your host.

By the way, I wrote you an email a month ago but couldn't send it because of moves / different computers in different places / etc. You'll get it one day.

See ya my dear friend,

Geoff
