Who: Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad (bladeinthecrowd) and Ezio Auditore da Firenze (idkmybffdavinci)
What: Ezio returns to Venice from abroad after receiving a letter from Leonardo...

The scar on his stomach ached.

To say Ezio had been startled to receive a letter in the pigeon coop -- a letter from Leonardo, no less -- instead of another contract waiting to be fulfilled was an understatement. The contents of said letter had been even more startling, written in Leonardo's strange mirror writing to protect the contents from prying eyes of those who didn't know how to read the man's simple code.

Altaïr had arrived in Venice, had visited Leonardo while searching for him.

He hadn't been far from Venice at that time, away in Forli on his business, which was something he was glad for. And now as he leapt over the rooftops of Venice towards his friend's workshop and abode he had to deal with the mix of emotions he'd been feeling for quite a while over the matter of the elder assassin, ever since their unpleasant incident, coming back a hundredfold. A quiet happiness that he was back. A burning anger and a stewing contempt for what had happened and how he'd so suddenly disappeared after it without so much as an apology. He'd long since recovered from it but the scar would always be there as a reminder. No one who looked at Ezio would have been able to tell it apart from any of his other battle scars but he would always know where it had come from, would always have to deal with having it.

By the time he landed on the roof of Leonardo's workshop he still hadn't quite decided what to do about this, what to feel or how he would react. It didn't stop him from opening a window and slipping inside, moving silently through the shop, trying to see if he couldn't survey inside unnoticed first. As much as he loved Leonardo he wasn't in the mood to talk to him.

He was here to talk to Altaïr and he would do it, even if it meant going back to Masyaf to find him.
