After "Clash of the Colossal Blades"

So, it turned out that Wodan Ymir guy is not Sanger Zonvolt, despite sounding the same, having a very similar machine and almost the same fighting style and being equally hammyJust who the snot is he, then? His long-lost twin brother? A clone, a doppelganger, or a very good pretender? A crazed fanboy who somehow hot his hands on awesome technology ( Read more... )

This is definitely getting crazy, Tasuku. It seems everyone we're running into has an edge over us in terms of technology.

But hey, you're still a kinda-sorta mechanic, aren't you? You've gotta have something up your sleeve!

Actually, if everything goes smoothly and according to plan, I might have just that!

Not gonna sacrifice our potential combos for anything fancy, are you?

Don't worry, don't worry - if anything, the combo potential should even increase!

Any man modeled after the Sword that Cleaves Evil is bound to be a formidable opponent. But there will always be only one original.

I'm just happy the original is on our side, at least.

For now... Agreed.

It's more than "almost" the same fighting style. In that one clash I had with Wodan...it felt exactly as it had whenever I fought Sanger.

This only raises further questions... Maybe he really is a clone?

Can't be. Cloning was shut down decades ago. Even then, they couldn't transplant someone's personality.

Maybe he's an alien clone?

I'm just glad that Major Sanger's definitely on our side again...

Although I do have to wonder about Wodan Ymir's mech. It almost seemed like a Grungust Type 3, but the Type 3 hasn't got anything like that kind of regeneration, and not even the Major's unit has a sword like that.

Hm. Come to think of it, Sanger showing up explains what happened to the second Type 3 unit.

Yeah, just where did he get this machine from? You can't exactly manufacture a huge and powerful super robot like that on the side, without anyone noticing...

Um...Tasuku, you haven't been paying much attention to the people we recruit, have you?

Only to the women.

Well, very few of them come with mecha even remotely as powerful as that monster Wodan Ymir is piloting...

grandtheftmecha October 28 2009, 12:26:26 UTC
More powerful than Ingram? How about we just let the two Sanger's fight each other?

wetnoodleguy October 28 2009, 12:42:31 UTC
That's what we pretty much did once they both appeared.

It's a good thing one of them decided to be on our side again.

You don't say. I thought it's finally my time for a second there...
