Yeah, that's a bummer, but I'm still really pumped about the Caps! I'd much rather have waited til round 3, but whoever moves on to round 3 will have my full support.
One of the reasons I am so anti-Flyers and therefore anti hockey has to do with the behavior of the fans after they won the Stanley cup many years ago when I got no sleep all night from their parading around my neighborhood.
That was certainly inconsiderate. I guess it's a good thing the Eagles have never managed to win the Super Bowl; such an event might trigger city-wide rioting. A celebration after such a win is very much in order, but there has to be a sense of perspective, and of when it's time to call it a night.
Our "parade" was strictly limited to the area immediately around the Verizon Center, which is almost exclusively commercial. And while the celebration in the streets was pretty noisy, it was only about 9:30, and the police were there to keep it under control. By the time we had circled the area for half an hour looking for the correct route home, we drove past the Verizon Center again and the area was deserted. Although there was still the random car horn beeping out "Let's Go Caps!"
