Amazing Powers and Houses

As asked for by mostlyfoo

I'm not going to labour too long on my Amazing Butch Powers because I will probably say something horribly offensive to someone, somewhere. The ultimate point is that I don't know I have them, they just happen, and it's probably my mother's fault. I have certainly not bought off the Tomboy Disadvantage (I don't know what the fuck I' ( Read more... )

I'm intrigued, have you ever tried writing up a character sheet for yourself, and if so which system did you use?

In other news I can totally go a similarish story, when I saw our place first it was more expensive than it was, and it was months before we accidentally saw it again (even going so far as to debate as to if we saw it, or another one on the street), and then there was in the middle price drop, as well as bartering.

But yes, having a place which is yours, that you can just go "You know what, fuck it this wall would look good green" without having to jump through hoops is a remarkably nice sense of place.

Also your garden is awesome, I'm jealous.

I can't really take credit for the garden, it was nice when we bought it and Luke's the one who's maintained the thing! I'd like to use it more if the weather would cooperate.

I tried to barter and failed miserably - since they'd already dropped the price a lot, they weren't inclined to drop it any more, but I had expected to need some money to do up wherever I bought, which wasn't really necessary for this place. I am as a rule inclined to trust luck and perseverance, but I'm fairly confident this house did find me. Except maybe it could have found me with a nicer carpet.

I have not statted myself. I think it's funnier to use systems which have a good array of pre-set abilities and skills to buy (a la D20) but have not found the right system. Nor have I looked too hard!!
