Yes, that's right. For this event, you're finally free of the nightmare of being trapped in a single 1950s town. Now you have two 1950s towns to be trapped in!
Welcome to Westport, America's Friendliest Town! Or, well, it was. But Westport's not doing so well these days. While the houses are generally intact, much of Westport looks like a war zone. There are bullet holes in the sides of buildings, most of the plant life is dead or dying, barricades and trenches line the streets, and there's not a person to be seen anywhere.
Inside the houses, you can still see pictures of the drones who once lived there, and yes, the pictures may be people you know. Perhaps the same ones you saw on TV or perhaps not. But any other signs of these drones have long vanished.
While you're in Westport, there are a few things you might want to keep in mind.
- There's no electricity.
- There's no edible food. In refrigerators and on kitchen tables and in stores, all of the food has spoiled. If you try to search through pantries and cupboards for non-perishable goods, you'll notice that they already appear to have been ransacked, with nothing left behind.
- There aren't any living plants or any animals, period.
-There's a pool! It's filled with algae, but hey, it still has a water slide attached.
-You may travel back and forth between Mayfield and Westport all you like. It's about a twenty minute walk or five minute drive. If you try to drive off in any other direction, you'll just wind up going in circles and arriving in either Westport or Mayfield.
-The layout of Westport is identical to Mayfield. Most of the shops have been completely ransacked, but they appear to have been similar to what you would have found in Mayfield, only with different names. The street names are also different, but otherwise look the same.
-The phones do not work in Westport. If you want to communicate with Mayfield, you'll have to return there.
For those who remain in Mayfield, there won't be any change there aside from the ability to leave.
