My daughter's latest email to her father:

"I am no longer attending school. There was a huge scandal and now I am pregnant with my married professor's baby... I think, though we'll know for sure when the paternity test comes back and I am released from rehab. I think I've got this heroin thing beat."

Poor guy. I actually feel sorry for him.

I admit to being bored because she's away at university. I'm certainly not bored when she's home! She's currently taunting me with allusions to a sin-filled weekend that has taken the last two days to recover from, but refuses to give me any details. Dammit. She's 22, and I have every reason to believe she will one day be dictator of the universe. She's well on her way already!
