So, I had Shabu Shabu for the first time last night. It was pretty good, but I kept wanting to dry off the meat. It had kind of a watered down flavor, and I like rather intense flavors. I kind of wanted to drink the peanutty sauce. O.o

I usually shake off the excess water from the meat, then dab it on the rice, which does great to remove excess water. Then sauce it, then back to the rice.

Actually this place only serves beef shabu shabu. Some places will give you chicken, pork or seafood, but honestly, anything you can under-cook when doing yourself in a social situation is a no go for me, so that works out just fine! Its good quality beef too.
