Hmm, I think my favorite part is how you portray the Joker's magnetism. People KNOW they're doing the wrong thing, but they all seem powerless to keep from dancing to his tune. Well done!

I think that's what makes the Joker such a great villain is his natural charisma. Even with his magic tricks. :P It's not so much with TDK!Joker but definitely, for example, in the animated series. (Lol, I'm watching it atm.)

I think it also helps if you think about it from Harvey's point of view. This man represents everything that's wrong or has gone wrong in his life and that perverse part of him, the darkness, just wants to have a taste of who and what that's like. I also just think he's grasping for control over the uncontrollable.

No, please don't rein them in! I love hearing other people's interpretations of the different levels going on in TDK.

I've been toying with the idea of writing a oneshot that implies that the Joker actually isn't human, that he is in fact of a force of nature (Ex. How he survives the truck flipping, how he got past the security to the villain meeting at the beginning. I know there's explanations for all his wierd appearences, but I thought some of them seemed almost supernatural). Unfortunately I'm not sure if I can even believe to grasp his character enough to write such a thing. Right now I'm just I'm trying to polish up my Harvey one-shots.
