Why?

Just once I'd like to see/read a newscast where something that isn't so damn tragic. In the last week I've read about the twat who taunted a dying little girl because she was still bitching about something that happened 3 years ago, a mother killed her 4 newborns (results of an on-going affair) and kept bones, kept bones. And now this.

It breaks my heart, and what is worse is I see stories like this on a daily basis... Ever since I started being friends with a group of mums on Facebook all I see is things like this being share. I'm at the point now where I just want to say enough... *frowns*

I know the feeling. I normally as a rule don't make a whole lot of posts of this nature, but this was too sad.

It is, but what to me is striking, is this occurs way to often (just heard one similar in Canada I believe naught but a few months ago).
Do people think that this couldn't happen to them?
Do they think these animals (who belong among nature, not caged within walls or on leashes)will suddenly be more mindful, or that they are not prone to doing something like this? ("Oh, but he's a good dog..."... good dog, happy dog, any freaking kind of dog is still a dog...)

Sorry, this really boils me wrong.

There was a mauling here in Halifax a few years ago. A young father had his toddler over (shared custody) and poor little girl was mauled by the neighbour's pitbull. Recently, a pit was trying to attack people who rode their bikes in the area.

Some people (while reading the comments) think the dog isn't to blame, but the parents. First off the parents should've known better, don't leave a newborn alone period. The dog was going to investigate the new thing (baby) and defend its territory. It doesn't really matter how friendly an animal (dog) is it's going to attack (especially) if spooked.

In the case of the little girl, the dog was in heat and was in an agitated state to begin with. And it's owner said the same thing Oh, but he's a good dog..."... good dog, happy dog.

Don't worry about it. When I heard it on the news I nearly got sick.

I have firmly believed for a long time now that the world has gone mad. Some things, no matter how you try, just make you sad and make you wonder why.
