The word was good enough for Twain, Fitzgerald, and countless others. Damn shame FFR wasn't around to set them straight about the correct usage while they were still in business.

I keep noticing a preponderance of the same type of rant appearing over and over (mainly 'RPS is weird!' or 'Americans don't get British spelling!') recently. Very dull. Where have all the truly funny rants gone?

American vs Brit spelling is an instant 200+ comment generator with the most bizarre TMI lurking deep inside. Funny rants get banned, sadly.
