Starting today, I'm going to try to post a few 'classic' recs each day for the next week. I'm calling them 'classic' in the sense that they were written several years ago or more and because I've recced them in the past. It's my goal to suggest at least some stories that you maybe haven't read before -- but even if they aren't, it's my hope that they'll be ones you enjoy reading again.
Seeing Africa and
Showing Sunnydale by
huzzlewhat. Xander, post-Chosen, PGish.
Beholder by
kimberly_a. Spike/Xander, PG-13. After Xander loses his eye. I love this story so, so much, and the fact that the title is so perfect makes me love it just a little bit more.
In the Bleak Midwinter by
annakovsky. Dawn/Xander, PG. I don't see how it could be possible not to love a story that includes the line, They find the baby Jesus in the dumpster behind the local supermarket.
