There's a lot of things that I love about this, but I'm really tired right now--too tired to make coherent observations. But I really, really adore this line: He likes the way Rodney always turns to him with an idea. Because yes! That's part of what makes them light up the screen together--they're always looking to each other for concurrence/approval/shared excitement.

And I don't think this is sad at all. Just them, adoring each other, which is exactly what I wanted. (It's my story, and I'm declaring it not!sad. *g*)
