Takei is a riot. I loved that.

Although I have to admit that I find myself in agreement with those who defend Hardaway's right to free speech, I also find myself sympathetic to all of those who wish to exercise our right of free criticism. I generally tend to think that straight men who make comments like that are afraid gay men are going to look at and treat them the same way they look at and treat women. Which leaves me with absolutely no sympathy for them. (And not a little bit vengeful happiness. I know it's small of me, but it's how I feel.)

Yeah, I know what you mean. Hardaway can say that if he wants to. It's STUPID, because it's going to make other people look at him as bigoted etc, but he can SAY it. (Even if it proves that he's a dumbass.) Personally, I kind of prefer knowing where people stand. Not that I care about Hardaway, since I don't follow sports and didn't know he existed until this incident created so much hoopla.

You're welcome! Most of my Spn recs are just the passing on of recs I've seen elsewhere, because I haven't the time to go LOOKING for fic, but it's so lovely to have good stories fall into one's lap, so to speak. :-)
