Chris has an absolutely mild expression of disgust on his face as he looks out over the gardens. In all aspects but one they look exactly the same as the last time he was out there, but that one is a doozy.

All the plant life (except the grass) is fire right now. Not on fire. It's just fire.

If he wasn't Chris, he'd be cussing.

Walk. Walk. Walk.

Stooooop.

"Hey, Mister? I think your plants are on fire."

"They're not mine." Chris says with the same mild disgust, "And they aren't on fire, they appear to be fire right now."

Jim blinks. "--That's not even possible."

What! It's not. He knows because of science.

Chris shrugs, "Hotel in the middle of everywhere connected to a wide variety of alternate universes with no staff but a never ending supply of everything anyone has bothered to look for to the best of my ability.

"Plants out of fire.

"It's not that big a jump."

"Ohhhhh..." that breathy, delighted sigh was from Rachel as she came out the door. She had a small basket balanced on her hip which was a providing a nest for O. She was actually to the point of ignoring the sleepily churring thing...her attention was all on the garden. "I should have thought og this!"

"Hey, R." Chris still sounds mildly put out.

"Chris!" she shifted enough to be nearly leaning on him without taking her gaze away from the plants.

"It bothers you"

"I like plants, R. I am one, sometimes."
