Aunt and Uncle arrived... went to the white stripes with Lana, brought lana back to regina. Now I intend to pretend I'm not as bad off as i am and i'm going to enjoy July as in August I'll be very busy minding my 2 year old neice.
P.s. the godfather is worth the hype. Took me long enough to see it. -

I spent the evening watching mob movies and making pipe/glasses cases/bags. There are a bunch that are finished and I just need to take pictures of and get them up on the site. I'm not exactly sure how one advertises a pipe bag but i'll figure it out.

I'm working on this with my birthday present alpaca/merino blend yarn. It's from a local Alpaca farm (i really stress supporting local and indie yarn).

I just finished moving a dresser into the work area of the basement and organizing all the sewing stuff into the top three drawers. Well the fabric and patterns anyway. I still have to organize the ribbons and rockrack and acoutrements that come along with sewing. at least 80% of my stuff is holdover from working at the fabric store. Seriously ( Read more... ) -
the day in relief
Went out spare bed hunting it's coming on Monday. We also got a new bookshelf for me. I'm going to change things around in my living room downstairs once the new shelf gets here. I intend to create a studio/library/work space on the one side and then the couch living area will remain pretty much the same on the other side ( Read more... ) -

If it wasn't motivation enough.... the street arts festival fair (where i will be all saturday a.k.a. my birthday) IS HAVING ALPACAS...
Thats right real live alpaca love.
I'm going to go and take gratuitious pictures of myself with said creatures.

My head is currently ensconced in the last of my blue dye. The good thing about frying ones hair is it goes back to a grey bleached color on it's own and saves me 10$ in bleach ( Read more... )
