that cough will soon disapate. stay away from "runway" materials and just focus on being a good handsome foodie. you'll be better in no time.

I will say that the first episode last week, with the competition to find out who would be on the show left me cold. I fast-forwarded through much of it, and didn't really care who made it or not.

As for the other show. I watched "Behind the Seams" the after show for Project Runway, and I was in tears at the end. Tim Gunn, my hero, was feted by the designers in one of the most touching and amazing sequences all season. That recap show saved me from never watching it again.

In an somewhat related note, I talked with Tim's secretary this week (squeeeeee!) to ask for a couple of autographs (me, natch, and two of my students) She was quite chatty and said he was as lovely as he was on TV.

Top Chef continues to be about the skill of the competitor, not about the value of their "story," which is why I love it!

Haven't seen any since the Voltaggio brothers, but will as soon as DVD seasons get into my hands!
