Made mine yesterday for Thursday!

I added Mandarin Oranges at the last minute, and some coconut.

Yummy!

Well, this was a timely recipe.

After thinking we'd be home, we are headed upstate NJ, and this is also what I'm bring.

Substituted Cran-Rasberry juice for the water, and split the sugar half-half with honey powder.

We'll see. I didn't read the recipe closely. I ground up some cloves. I think maybe too much. Shh. Don't tell anyone.

I don't like it tart, so I cook the berries until well past 'just popped'. Can you believe my grandmother use to make this with no sugar added? Now that will cause one to sit up straight!

Great! Don't worry about the clove; I usually double what the recipe calls for anyway.

NO sugar? Yikes! I like it tart, but your Granny has me beat!

I hope to see you guys at Santa Saturday - the Otter and I plan to be there mid afternoon-ish.

Well, you don't know the half of it. See, my mother, following the sweet tooth in the family, makes it on the sweet side of sweet. Often, opting just for the jellied versions, which I also love. Big cranberry fans, all around. Why, I just made the cranberry nut-bread today, in fact.

So, I'll never forget the Christmas I gave myself a heaping portion of Grandma's, either forgetting or not knowing.

Now...see, now, you have this giant portion that is barely edible, except by people who like to suck on lemons - and I do, but that's another story. Politeness demands that you at least finish half, since you helped yourself to an extra large portion, no?

Like I said, that stuff will make you sit up straight. And I did.
