Am I evil for imagining your cat crunching your finger and laughing?

My medium longhair cat is the devil when I try bathing him. We have eight inch, bleeding claw marks to prove it.

He's named after an older cat I owned: Misu. He was an outdoor cat. Like you I woke up one night to yowling and hissing under my bedroom window. When I came upon them they were locked in mortal combat. Still as death. Two yins held together by the stitch work of their claws. I grabbed each by the scruff of the neck and peeled them apart like a ball of masking tape.

You're lucky you didn't come away with your own crunching. I appreciate the retrospective humor, but when the little bastard's upper and lower incisors were trying to meet through my finger, I lacked the appropriate distance.  :|

How did the booster work out? When I got it before deployment I was sick as a dog for days.

It was fine, actually. The nurse suggested that, by the next morning, it would "feel like a mule kicked you in the arm", but there were no discernible side effects at all. Heh - maybe they've improved the formula or something.

I may have to adopt that motto myself. Or invest in some cat gloves. Anyway, a week on, the hand is mostly back to normal - though the finger in question is still a bit sore.
