Insane Coulter clone confuses 'Watchmen' with film for children, goes foamy at the mouth over it

If Watchmen is being marketed to children, what's in the Rorschach (Un)Happy Meal? A can of cold beans and a raw egg? [/geek reference]

lol! I love the mouth-foaming; it's so preposterous. Not touching all the batshit commentary, but ... like it's the movie's fault that it's rated R.

As an aside, Watchmen is rated "12 and above" (that's, what, a PG13 equivalent?) here in France -- which in itself should kind of say something. :D

If I recall (and it's been years), getting an age certificate on a film in France takes some doing and usually involves the film containing copious amounts of violence. It's no one under 17 in the US, and based on what I know of the source material that's not an undeserved rating.

And how is France? I have to admit I'm a little envious of your new location!

Haha! Excellent work! I LOLed.

I had to stop reading the article, however, as I was getting really mad! I'm way too sensitive!

The comments are a true goldmine of stupid, especially when the 'writer' responds in ANGRY CAPS TO EVERYTHING.

And I don't know if you've already seen it, but this response to an article on Slate made me think of you: http://io9.com/5165920/the-men-who-make-battlestar-galactica-feminist

I found that amusing until I realized that she's got hundreds of new people knowing who the hell she is, just because she discovered the sort of attention she could draw to herself by harping on Watchmen. Pooey :P Now I'm curious to see how many more Watchmen posts she'll make.

If they get gradually frothier, I could almost approve of that. After all, having people know who you are doesn't mean having people think you're sane!

I for one would take kids to go see this film. Now I know nothing about Watchmen, except that their Quantum Mechanics is almost completely sound and that Dr.Manhattan was made possible by things I'm studying right this minute - but I digress. Why take kids to go see this? Well, its not like they don't get exposed to much, much worse or should I say, they go out of their way to find said exposure, so what better way to spend time with the kids than going to see a film which I actually want to see?

Clearly this bitch is crazy and it saddens me that there is another celebrity on the basis of fear and self righteous outrage. All the more reason to go do something gay right now...

Of course! What was I thinking? There are much more wholesome ways of finding pretty men in bed together :)

The spouse and I were wondering whether it was Totally Inadvertent or if there was someone in the publisher's offices thinking 'One day, someone will get this'.

I'm thinking of scanning the image, reducing it digitally and then making it into a pendant just for the hell of it.
