That sounds splendid - is there a particular brand of panela to pick up? I hope against hope that it's Bimbo brand, on the grounds that it is the best brand ever. At some point in high school my brother and I scored a polo shirt from the thrift store with the Bimbo bear on the chest instead of a tiger, a laurel wreath, or an upper-class twit playing polo. I think this was the same time that we would ritualistically play "Earthworm Jim" on Sega while listening to They Might Be Giants after school on days when we didn't go to vintage/thrift stores.
