Another excellent chapter. Poor Martha never really did get her dues after the end of season three. I wish she could have had time in an episode to show how it really affected her.

Well anyways, can't wait for the next chapter!

Thank you very much :) Yes, Martha was rather hard-done-by. She's not a favourite companion in my book - though I think that was largely down to poor writing - but she did do an amazing job during the Year that Never Was. I know many Martha fans were disappointed by the lack of real acknowledgement by the Doctor for that.

Excellent chapter. I like the fact Martha's the one that's strong enough to tell Rose the truth.

Thank you - and, yes, I agree it does take a lot of strength for Martha to talk about all of that. The Doctor and Jack just couldn't.

Oh, good, the subtle (I hope!) suggestion of Nine did come through :) I felt that it would do more than anything else to help overwrite the lingering bad memory in Jack's mind.

And, yes, I think Rose needed to realise that, no matter how much she wants to or tries to, neither she nor Jack can ever fully replace what he's lost. They can be there for him and offer him a different sort of companionship, but it's not the same and never can be.

Sorry about the slower updates these days... I wish I could write faster, but it just doesn't seem to happen :(

Arg. Anti-fluff attack! Sadness.
