HAHA! Swanson is running TW. Very good.

Jack and Rose are so cute together.

Thank you! I loved Swanson in They Keep Killing Suzie - she was far and away the best character in the episode. Jack should've killed off Gwen as well as Suzie at that point and given Swanson the job ;)

And, yes, I'm a big Jack/Rose fan :)

I love this. Jack is the man we first loved all over again. He and Rose are such a loving couple, and they obviously still love the Doctor.

(And Jack cooks! And...tails at their wedding!)

:::Sigh:::

I'm probably going to be re-reading this three or four more times, too. :-)

Aww, thank you! :) You must have a lot of free time on your hands ;)

Yes, I'd think that six years would be enough for Jack to heal - I don't think he's naturally a dark, angsty person. Hard to imagine, given the way he was in DW - he'd been screwed over by the Time Agency and almost died taking a bomb away, and we've also learned via Torchwood that he had a lot of horrible experiences in his early years - such as being forced to watch his best friend be tortured and murdered :( With all that, he was still happy, fun and flirty. I really hope we get to see him that way again on-screen.

A lot of sort of free time, though not for a good reason. Taking care of my mom, who's in end stage colon cancer. Reading fanfic is one of the things that takes me away from the awful reality.

(Not trying to be a downer here.)

So sorry to hear that. {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}

And I'm glad that I can help, even if in such a tiny way.

“You’d been replaced,” he adds. “From what I could make out, she used to be a police officer. A detective. Somebody called Swanson.”

Ha! Wendymr for the win.

This is so well written--and yet so hard for me to read, cause I'm such a die-hard Doctor/Rose shipper. And yet, so good...

I'd hate you if I didn't love you so much. ;-P

Thank you! So glad you liked the Swanson part :)

This is an incredible compliment - thank you so much! That you're reading something that's completely contrary to your normal interests and actually liking it - well, I'm very flattered, and thank you :) Yes, this is Rose/Jack, but lariel_romaniel might well be right about this:

they obviously still love the Doctor.

So keep reading, if you can bear it :)

i don't think i commented on the first part of this, but i'm SO glad there's a sequel to Finding Judas where everyone is a little happier (ok, so our Doctor still seems a little down). The first story absolutely wrecked me with sobbing. I think it was part 8, if i recall correctly that did me in.

Anyway, i'm loving this. And i desperately interested in what's going to happen next. yay Rose for calling the Doctor on his shit. ;)

Oh, I'm so sorry! *passes tissues* I was actually expecting screams and threats with chapter 8 of the previous story, so I was really surprised when most people who commented said how realistic it sounded ;)

Yes, the Doctor's still a bit down, which is really why this is called Fixing Judas ;) He's got some lessons to learn - and if you think Rose is calling him on his shit, she's barely got started ;) Though I will say that he's far from the only one who made mistakes, and you'll see that in later chapters.

Thank you :) Hope you like the next chapter.

A lovely chapter. I'm so glad you gave us the old Jack back. Great banter between the three of them. And the Doctor is good too - not exactly emo, but caught between some angsty self-pity and some long overdue rethinking......what can I say other than "Quite right too"......

Thank you! Yes, I wanted the old Jack back. Six years is long enough, I think ;)

The Doctor... he's got a lot more rethinking to come ;) Do tell me, by the way, if you think he gets too emo, particularly if it's unconvincingly so.
