Thank you! I didn't expect 'sweet', not to this chapter, but if that's what it made you feel then I'm glad :)

I had been planning to comment - at lenngth when the last part was done and I read it again as a cohesive whole. But, I have to say that this chapter - which surpasses all the rest in terms of how bang on your are with voice and with poignancy - compelled me to do otherwise.

This isn't an easy story to like because in terms of wish fullfillment we're all out of luck *but* that said, I think that this is the most cannonical/episodic piece of fanfic I've read. If there was going to be an OT3 reunion then this chapter would probably mirror how it ended. I'm thrilled that you gave Rose the independance we saw in Season One and that you extrapolated that so she seems like a young woman who is maturing well with a goood head on her shoudlers, and Jack - no matter how broken he is - knows where power and culpability lie and you show that beautifully too.

As I said, really, really cannonical. Though the Doctor doesn't come off well at all and I wonder what Martha is thinking of all this - out of shot as it were.

All right, you've got me! *cursing under breath*
I've been holding off, but I couldn't resist any longer-- The title alone pulled me in from the begining.

LOL! Sorry to make you curse! But it's lovely to know that you're reading :)

And, by the way, where's the next chapter of your story? *thumps desk impatiently* You've got a lot of eager fans getting very anxious waiting for more - I should know, because we're all saying so behind your back ;)

I'm beating my head on my desk. I'm bound to my desk which is inconveniently positioned in the midst of the holiday-kids-out-school-baking-cookies-talking-chattering-arguing -- actually, as I write this they're all at it again, and I can barely complete a sentence... Someone come rescue me, please.

I've seriously considered commiting a crime just shy of a death sentence so I can be confined in a nice quiet maximum security cell... Maybe I'd get some writing done.

Ouch! Yes, I know a few other AWOL writers in your position. We'll just have to hope that you manage to grab a bit of time over the next few days to give us our next fix... please?
