Indeed! But the priest's post is very typical of Irish people's reaction to Ophelia: even in the midst of the worst weather event to hit Ireland in over 50 years, we're a pretty casual lot who find self-deprecating humour in almost anything :)

Sorry for the delayed response; internet time on a device where I could access LJ was pretty limited. We were there, actually, for my father's 80th birthday. The intention was indeed for our mutual friend and I to meet up, but circumstances intervened and she wasn't able to make it, sadly.
