And I really liked the insights into Lestrade. Sherlock was, as he is, a delight. Best, briefest scene-setter ever:
"Hospitals are dull."
Just echoes the way that with all the lovely angst and drama going on around him, Sherlock cuts straight to his own impatient state of mind.Very enjoyable, absorbing story.

I do love John and Sherlock living and working together (and hope the series will revert to that soon), with John as the sane one and Sherlock the often-irritating genius - though I also liked the greater empathy he showed in the most recent episodes. Regardless, it's the excitement and humour and exasperation and genuine friendship that I like so much about John and Sherlock's relationship, and this is what we were aiming for here.
