LyricWP has to be one of the most intelligent writers the Whoniverse has seen. Her stories are not just spot-on in character and atmosphere, they contain some really profound metatextual insights on the character and behaviour of Time Lords. I came across Boxing Day a day or two back and, since this sounds like more of the same kind of thing, I'm looking forward to reading it.

And you are so right about that quotation re-Rose - what the Doctor needed most when he met her was someone who had no idea who he was, what he'd done - someone who treated him like she'd treat any extraordinary bloke. It worked because RTD know that also applied to a lot of the new generation of viewers, and he told the first story uncompromisingly from her perspective.
