I'm reading a WIP over on the Teaspoon which is so good it just has to be recced. Rise and Fall, by Nixa Jane, is set in Jack's Torchwood not long after the end of DW S3 and the Year that Never Was. The author's summary:

Thanks for the rec. I will definitely read it. The line you quoted makes me think she's using the idea I came up with of the Doctor feeling it when Jack dies. I think I might like her representation of it better than mine. (Not that I think she got the idea from me. Two people independently coming up with the same thought.)
