Nan Dibble - Rest In Peace

Mar 08, 2006 15:04

As most of you have heard by now, nandibble passed away.

She was a member of our community at the Soulful Spike Society and she was a fabulous author and wonderful person. I was fortunate enough to spend some time with her last fall. She's was just a very neat lady.

Words can not express how sad this makes my heart. She will be truly missed.

*hugs you tight* There can never be too many hugs.

My one regret is that I never got to meet Nan in person. She was always so good to me. {{Wendy}}

She was a great lady. She was the reason I came to the SSS board. In fact, when she was selling copies of her book, I bought one just so she could autograph it for me. I just had such admiration for her.

Meeting her and talking to her at S'cubiefest was definitely one of the highlights.

I hate that this last year was hard on her. But I guess it just got much easier for her. No more work demons and money demons. For us, we'll just have to muddle through like we always do.

Nan (and Spring) was the reason I came to the S3 board too. I owe her so much. As I said over on S3, the admiration and respect I had for her are immeasurable. She was a hell of a woman.

I'm going to miss her. {{{Wendy}}}

I'm so glad to hear that you got to meet her. She's was a very unique lady. Her Old Blood series was the first fanfiction I ever read.

Thanks for your condolences, though at this time, it's the whole fandom that needs them. So I'm sorry for your loss as well, Cindermom.

{{Wendy}}. I know; we "talked" over at my LJ. Still, I miss her, and I know you do too. [sighs.] I wish we all lived in Ohio, right now, and could all huddle close.

By so many people. She touched so many hearts with her words. She brought so many people into the fandom and inspired so many authors.

She was an extraordinary lady and I'm proud I could call her my friend.
