Whoa. When my aunt had a staph infection it caused her skin to peel off. I wonder if the two have other symptoms in common.

Good question. I didn't even know strep caused skin to peel this way. Maybe it's bacterial infections in general? I had what was thought to be an allergic reaction some years ago, and I had a lot of skin peeling. I don't recall being put on antibiotics, but I probably was.

I remember having scarlett fever after being misdiagnosed and the strep got worse. I was basically covered in a burning rash, but thankfully my skin didn't peel. I think I would have freaked terribly. I wonder if it peeled would have had I left it untreated.

Eat your yogurt! I've always heard that, though the Cillins can be quite helpful when in comes to bouncing Strep outta the house, they are a tad on the cutthroat side and tend to kill off all the friendly little bacteria, too (weird, since the doctor will tell you that antibiotics won't get rid of a bacterial infection).

Forgot about yogurt. Kinda too late. Ms. Cillin did her job and then some. I think I'll buy some yogurt tomorrow. 'Stat'. ;)

very cute story you've told us, though it's rather icky that they all had to come visit. Glad you're on the mend :)
