last night i went to virginia beach at 10pm with a few friends and walked in the damp sand wearing a business suit. being near the ocean always brings me back to who i really am; my hair immediately curls and my makeup inevitably runs off and as i stand in the surf feeling the sand being sucked out from under my feet i remember that deep down
