We've been eating pretty well and mostly healthy when I cook. We're on a burger binge these past 2 weeks, where I grind my own meat and either broil in the oven or pan-fry the patties. Pretty yummy. The last moments of my single life, and I had some new experiences:

1. Seeing my boyfriend of 10 years puke for the first time after drinking a wee bit much.
2. Washing my car (which was already scrubbed clean earlier during the day) at 2:30am to eliminate the incriminating evidence.

Yum is:

1. Kumamoto oysters & the like and clam chowder from Hog Island Oyster Company at the Ferry Building. The clam chowder had lots and lots of fresh clams still in the shell. Each serving is individually cooked on a cast iron pan with bacon and potato. I complained that there weren't enough potatoes!

My sister and brother-in-law bought a Volkswagen Routan. So far, it's for them and their little doggie Bahamas. I wonder if my other sister and brother-in-law will cave in and buy one as well.

I have sworn to not own a minivan. I will try my best to keep that promise. I'd rather buy a Volvo than a minivan.
