Game of Trones Episode 7.

Yes, I know it says "Trones".  As in "tronies."  Hey, it worked better as a pun than "Game of Cones."

I like the show, I really really do.

But I watched the HBO Go feed of episode 7 and there is a scene that never happens in the book.  With two characters that aren't in the books (HBO's requisite Whore with a Heart of Gold), having some dry humping ( Read more... )

Are they catering to the Spartacus/Tudors crowd, who are used to lots of historical sexytime?

Either that or the lonely 18-34 male comic book convention audience. As if they needed any help in that department.

I was totally put off by the Loras/Renly shaving scene. It was a silly way to get information across. Martin did a great job of making that whole thing obvious, but subtle, as men in THAT society in THAT time period would be. HBO 21st centuried it, contradicting the entire flavor of the rest of the show. Bleh. Didn't like it.

Yeah, didn't Richard the Lionheart just call his affair with the King of France "Help! I'm being 'Ransomed'. Let my brother John run the country until I get back."

Hahahaha! EXACTLY!

It's nothing to do with the relationship, and everything to do with losing the sense of time and place. It's all about the story, right?
