Me: Even for pygmy hippos. Besides, there are waiting lists for allotments.

Jack: You ruin all my dreams!

He could possibly buy some land in Belize to raise hippos, but that would require frequent travel and unspeakable amounts of insect repellent. Hippos would certainly add some panache to the River Wallace.

I'd love the opportunity to visit Belize and play in some Mayan ruins - with or without hippos! Are hippos appropriate for the River Wallace? Maybe I can convince him to go for manatees instead.

And what are you doing up? Isn't it like 3am or something there?

I'm really not sure if hippos are appropriate for the River Wallace, but as the river already has crocodiles, why not? I only saw the snout of one manatee, but I was still all giddy about it. "Ohh! Manatees are neato!"

As for Mayan ruins, Altun Ha is, in fact, quite bitchin'. Just backhand the rotten kids trying to get you to take pictues with baby endangered animals, and everything will be groovy.
