I apparently forgot to give Mother Nature my forwarding address. Those nasty storms in Central Florida early Friday morning? Right where I used to be. We're good. Didn't even lose power. The Mallory Hills Country Club is in rough shape, though.

Thanks for asking, though. I momentarily had forgotten that you moved, and when we turned the news on I went to grab my phone and call to make sure YOU were ok.

What? It was early! I'm barely cogent early in the morning.

Heh. Yep, I'm OK, just freezin' my ass off. I was making early morning phone calls though too. I couldn't tell about one of the smashed mobile home parks, whether it was Water Oak or not (where a friend lives), so I was calling her to make sure she was all right.

I'm rather glad I was far away as well (and that I didn't get hauled into the newsroom at 3:30 in the morning like some of the staffers did!).

I heard back from one already -- I'm invited to interview on March 1. Approximately 50 prospective students have been chosen to interview for 30 open slots (which isn't a bad ratio...). I think I should hear from the other one fairly soon as well.
