Blaze Ceremony Gold to Little Black Dress (Party Red) + Nubar 2010

Nov 25, 2011 01:35

My phone is taking such a long time to restore so I thought might as well have an update here. I am really tired though.

Anyway, remember the Blaze SolarActive nail polish I mentioned? I just realized that the name written should be Ceremony Gold to Little Black Dress. But in my order confirmation it was written Party Red. Well, I have checked and the bottle label is correct.

This is how the polish looks like indoor. 3 coats! Very 881! I LIKE! It is basically very yellow gold, sparkly, bling and has alot of 'depth'.

I really ask for your forgiveness in my horrendous painting skills.
Because of the confusion in name, I kept thinking that the color will turn reddish in the sun. But It turned dark murky green instead. I was puzzled. I thought perhaps I slapped on too much topcoat hence somehow it affected the color-changing. Then I got upset because there is no red at all!

My very er xin and dry out toe. Please do not judge me! T.T I is busy!
DIM GAIIIIII!?!??!

RED COLOR! Y U NO APPEAR!

Anyway, in the sun it turns the above color. Pretty amazing, I mean the color-changing mechanism. From afar, the color is pretty similar to China Glaze It's Alive. Sigh, but why no red!

Very cool stuff but not something that I will invest unless they have some color changing holographic colors! HAHA! Perhaps it is just the color change which I do not really like cos it is like... not drastic enough? Perhaps other colors would have pleased me.

I got so pissed out with the weather that I changed out of Blaze polish only one day after painting. NO SUN! I also realized in some review, the color changed to very very dark green almost black. I reckon it's because the sun is not strong enough? :(

What I like about the polish:
- Cool color-changing mechanism and it changes pretty fast.
- Pretty big bottle (after seeing how small Glitter Gal is).
- Very dense glitter. 2 to 3 coats will suffice.

What I do not like about the polish:
- As usual, glitter polishes are such a pain to remove.
- Polish finish quite gritty, got to spam lotsa topcoat.
- The glitter tends to clog the bottle mouth, thus making it thick and difficult to paint smoothly.

So, I changed my nail color to the below!
  • 3 coats of OPI Do you think I'm Tex-y? - Pinkish red jelly. Need 3 coats to be consistent and opaque.
  • Nubar 2010 2 coats - Whitish transparent base with iridescent flakes.

Flakies! I like too! Very chinese new year! I like even more!

Through certain lightings and angles, you can see shades of green, red and orange! Awesome isn't it?

Okay, my phone is done now. I really is tired. Good night everyone!

P/s: Blaze and Nubar 2010 were bought from Mei Mei Signature.
