The last of this Christmas’ Bapton Books list of memorable books and authors: our canon, as it were: is now posted.

Delightful. I agree totally. And I can see, even from across the ocean that Mr GW's latest book breeds true.

When we culled our books last Rabbit Hill was one I kept, along with Pooh and Aesop.

Wind in the Willows was thought lost, and found under daughter's bed-- but by that time I had frantically bought another copy. So now we have 3, because the annotated copy from Bapton Books is a whole 'nother thing.
