WHITHER WAS AWESOME. The cover/description made it seem boring but once I started it I could not put it down. I HATED LINDEN SO MUCH, ESPECIALLY DURING ALL THE CECILY PARTS. Dude, she is 13! Her stockholming/baby factory ways stressed me out so much. The only person I hated more was his dad, obviously. BUT JENNA WAS SO GREAT. And so were Rhine and Gabriel.

SO GLAD YOU HATED LINDEN TOO. Ugh, I was sort of unsure as to how the book wanted me to feel about him, but I wanted to slap the crap out of Rhine whenever she was nicer to him. NO, HE IS THE WORST. Like when he ACTUALLY ASKED her why she wanted to become a bride and was just incredibly ignorant toward what was really gone on? I feel like I was supposed to pity him then but it just made me dislike him all the more.

TL DR, IT'S MARGARET ATWOOD 4 TEENZ, CHECK IT.

SHOULD HAVE STARTED OUT WITH THIS TBH, PUTTING IT ON HOLD AT THE LIBRARY

Although these dystopian names, lol. Rhine Ellery? it sounds like a French winery.

The ~heterochromia reminds me of Delirium by Lauren Oliver - have you read that? It's like ... the Giver for somewhat older teens, basically. (They say "fuck!" Twice, I think!) Crossed with like, the Uglies series, which I never actually read past the first installment of. Anyway, it was good! I really liked the protagonist and her BFF.

I LIKE TO CLOSE STRONGLY.

WHAT YA BOOKS HAVE TAUGHT ME ABOUT THE FUTURE - EVERYONE HAS TERRIBLE NAMES, APPARENTLY.

I did read Delirium! I really liked it until the end when it made me want to THROW MY KINDLE ACROSS THE ROOM. and then I read the book description for the second book and SURPRISE, I PREDICTED THE PLOT FOR NUMBER TWO THE SECOND I FINISHED NUMBER ONE. I'm totally reading it, though.

YEAH, HATED EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT ENDING.

I thought it was a little too slow-paced for much of the first half, but kept reading it because 1. I loved all the characters, and 2. the quotes from pamphlets, textbooks, etc. that opened each chapter!!!! Those were SO WEIRD AND CREEPY.

Have you read Lauren Oliver's other book, Before I Fall?

Yes, the quotes were such a nice touch! I loved the entire premise but the ending is so UGHHHHH especially since I feel like it's so obvious how the plot is going to go from there.

I haven't but I have it on my kindle! Have you read it? Is it any good?

I love "You and I" and I have cried while listening to it by myself in my car and I just put a remix of it on a mix CD for my cousin and his husband because they're getting married this week and I also love the video.

IT'S TOTALLY NOT A BAD THING. It's just so great to sing along too!

IT'S GREAT AIRPLANE READING, TBH. YOU CAN READ PEOPLE WHO ARE MORE DOOMED THAN YOU ARE FOR BEING ON A PLANE.
