Everything keeps happening so quickly now. I'm starting to wonder...never mind, it's probably not something I should discuss. Although, perhaps I should talk to Master soon. If things are going where I think they might be then I should help as many people as I can.

Pactios would give people help, right? And there go the sirens again. It's like ( Read more... )

...Does that say "pactio"?

What's that? It sounds like a cross between a promise and a porch!

Yes...it does.

Well, the promise part is kind of close to it...but I'm not sure if a porch has anything to do with it.

And it's...well...a magical contract between a mage and their minister. The minister gains power and usually an item that can aid them in battle to help support the mage.

A minister is like a priest, right? So does that mean that one person has magic and the other person has to be part of a religious order?

Do priests fight?

That sounds useful though, Manhattan is a dangerous place! Does it help them work together, or does it just help the priest's fighting?

No! It's not like that. "Minister" is more like "servant" than "priest" in this context. So you don't have to be a part of any religious order.

Although, I guess some priests fight...right?

I'm...not really sure what you mean...but I think...yes it does help them work together.

They're annoying, that's for sure.

Haven't you mentioned this pactio thing before? It sounds familiar.

It's a simple little thing, very important where we are from.

It gives someone a... 'weapon' of sorts.

Oh, well, if you're talking about pactios...

Since you and I have one, maybe that means I should help you out more?

Oh and sorry, I had to use it the other day.

It'd be nice to see you more Yellow. I don't think I've seen you since the Pactio.

:o Oh, that's alright, was it helpful?

I'm sorry about that. I mean, Miss Evangeline said that means we're partners... and we haven't even talked much. So, it would be nice.

Ah yes it was... but I was really surprised when the bigger crab escaped really easily from it.

Evangeline told me about the Pactios. If you need someone to help, I'm up for it.

[She. Uh. doesn't know about the kissing part yet. |D]

Hey there, Negi. This is Daniel, from the party. Are you holding up alright? Those sirens have everyone on edge.

If you don't mind my asking, what's a...'pactio'?

Don't put too much pressure on yourself. We're all doing everything we can around here. Take it from someone who knows: if you put yourself under too much pressure, you will eventually crack.

[Boy does he know. Oh Daniel, always checkin' up on the short people. ^^; ]

Hi Daniel. I'm fine, just worried about things, I guess.

A pactio is a magical contract between two people, a mage (the magister and initiator of the contract) and a minister (the person they make the contract with). When a contract is formed the minister gains certain abilities from the magister that help enhance things like strength and durability. It also usually comes with a magical item of sorts that can be helpful for the magister. See, a lot of mages when they cast spells need time to cast them, a minister comes in handy because they can keep enemies off the mage, giving them time to cast the spell.

I...hope I explained that well enough.
