I have been busy lately!

I still have a few projects that I'm working on, but here are a few of the things I've gotten finished recently. I swear I will eventually do some Sackboys that aren't Zevran, just as soon as a) someone commissions one, or b) I actually have time to work on my own stuff. HAHAHAHAhahaha... haha... ha... *sobs quietly in a corner*

Those are all so many kinds of awesome! The mermaids amaze me just on a technical level, but I've gotta be partial to the penguins. =D

Hee, thank you! When she suggested penguins I was like, okay, that should be easy, it would be reaaaally hard to mess up penguins. But I've definitely experienced a decided warming to them over the course of making these; I already thought they were cute, but after this and reading the article about penguin sweaters...

Sweet...blood...of...Andraste!!! These are all fabulous! Those Zevrans are so detailed, it blows my mind. And I seriously cracked up at the mermages. LMAO.

Also the Thor is adorable!

Thanks! I'm looking forward to making someone other than Zev, but he's still been a lot of fun. And I ended up gigglesnorting my way through the mermages because they're so ridiculous; I'm making myself a Jowan and Prince Alistair, now. XD

I love the Thor, I got sent a picture of him hanging out in the recipient's car, here.

Aww, thanks! The hands are a pain because the fingers are so tiny, but he wears fingerless gloves, so I actually have to do a color change on them. O_<

And man, not as often as I'd like. I tend to just... sleep when my body is willing and work on stuff when it's not. XD

Gosh, I really needed this squee spree. I squealed over the sword, then the goatee, and the penguins, the embroidery, the double-layered braid, the details - and then it hit me that I have to catch myself more of Thor. I luv each and every one of these.

Thanks, and glad to be of service! :3

I squeed a little myself when the braid was done; the commissioner asked for it based on a style I'd given the character in a drawing, and I was like, "Sure!" Then realized how much yarn it would be and that it would take a lot more doing than I anticipated. But in the end it was a surprisingly straightforward and logical thing once I broke it down. Using sport weight yarn rather than worsted definitely helped, too.

The penguins were so much fun, I was so excited to get to do something completely different that I just sat down and made them. I have also been told that I really, really need to see Thor, so that's going right to the top of my Netflix queue!

The level of detail you put into your work is so inspiring. Everything looks so neat and symmetrical. 。^__^。 And OMG, I love the sword!

Thank you so much! ^^ I've sort of been saving stuff up for a post, so that it'd balance the quasi-repeats, LOL. And I'm really trying to work on other characters, or at least other variations of the same ones beyond costume.

The sword was so much fun and such a nightmare at the same time, I've made two of them now. I mean, it's kind of a pain because of all the parts, and because all the white is worked in glow-in-the-dark floss and that stuff is a PAIN to crochet with (it's slippery and likes to skitter off the equally slick steel hook, it splits and unravels because it's slippery and has no friction holding it together). But the end result is worth it:

The glow-in-the-dark effect looks great!
