I love this so much! Really great job! ♥ The fuzzy effect looks very cool. Haha, I know what you mean about getting bored with white when making HK dolls. ;) And, yes, Hello Kitty does happen to have a tail...despite how human she may seem. ^__^

Thank you very much, littleyuzu! :oD Knowing what an HK fan you are, this is especially nice to hear! The fuzzy effect FEELS very cool TOO! I LOVED it and my hub didn't want to give her away. heh heh

I'm really bad about tails. *blush* I never put tails on any of my many wee lambies. I like their little bums. And I made a Sock Pudge Monkey and I just couldn't bear to put a tail on him because his bum was so darned cute! ha ha ha (for those who don't know - Pudge is our giant kitty baby, so it was a kitty in sock monkey style - still need to post that one) But I honestly never actually noticed that Hello Kitty HAS one!! heh heh

this is sooooooo cute ! I am a major hk fan. She is tattooed on my arm. I was supposed to make a yeti from lucyraven's pattern on etsy but I couldn't work with the alpaca yarn I bought. was the mini slicker expensive ? Our dog slicker that we actually use was 50 dollars. but with a pittbull , lab and chihuahua it was money well spent.

Thank you so much area51ufo1! I'm so pleased you like her! :o) Wow! You have her tatooed on your arm? That's really a fan! :o)

No, the mini slicker (nap riser) was only $2.49 plus shipping! :o)

It's very small, but that's what makes it good for getting into tight spots. I actually used it more than the brush. I got a very inexpensive metal slicker brush from the pet store, too. Just a few dollars and used both. Worked Great! I was amazed! :o)

eta: to correct error :o/ as usual

Aaw, adorable, fuzzy and fluffy - the best combo there is! :D she's lovely, just like everything you make. Adding the tail was a nice touch - most plushies omit that, even though she's not a bobcat...
Oh, and I LOVE that wee knitting kitty! So fitting! Did you receive it from a gifted atrist?

Thank you, Thank you, legendancer! :o) You are always so super kind to me! I'm happy you like her! :o)

And I'm happy you like the knitting kitty, too! She's a little logo on my blog. Ummm... I took bits from clipart, here and there, and removed parts and moved parts around, and recolored things, and there she was. :o) I may animate her at some point.

hee hee I'm glad you like her fuzziness! I know you decided you don't care for brushing the yarn (though your fuzzed creations came out gorgeous in my opinion), but I found crocheting with fuzzy yarn to be a nightmare when I made an Ewok earlier this year! (It's challenging with knitting too, but you can FIND the STITCHES!) This was some work, but I wasn't pulling my hair out! ;o)

Yes, the recipient was very pleased - and now her sister wants one! *screeeeaaammm* ha ha ha

I absolutely love this! I can't work with fuzzy yarn either. Thanks for sharing your technique!

So sorry about your hands! :( My mom is a rabid crocheter and has some wrist issues from sorting mail at the post office for 35 years. It's one of her bigger fears that she won't be able to do it one day. Take care of yourself!!

Oh, thank you leota! That's so nice of you! :o) Though I'd love to take credit, ha ha, it's not my technique! Gosh, I'm not sure who it originated with... Roxycraft was doing it way back and Wibit too (can't remember her other nickname right now but you'd recognize her work) and Planet June and others too. Roxycraft did a video Crochet-a-long showing how to do it, too, a couple of years ago. My only contribution is finding that cool little nap riser brush. ;o ( ... )
